Mr. Rautray, Managing Director of Prince International, started the company with - a vision that no human would be deprived of good health resulting from iron deficiency. A follower of Gandhian Principle -Labana Satyagraha (the Salt Movement) as was started in the early days by the great soul, Mahatma Gandhi. Mr. Rautray laid the foundation of fortifying salt with iron and iodine in order to help and serve the community. This is an innovative approach to tackle Anaemia, which is a major national and international nutritional problem. Prince International started producing fortified salt in 1989. Now various states in India are using Fortified Salt in their nutritional programmes to tackle Anaemia and Goiter.
